Planning a Community Event

We encourage and support local individuals and groups to hold events which engage and benefit our diverse community.

The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters encourages the community to host events in our beautiful parks, reserves and venues.

The following information is provided to assist you in planning a community event in our City.

Where can I hold my event?

The Council owns and operates a range of indoor and outdoor spaces that are available for hire. You can also apply to hold your event on a public or arterial road.

Norwood on Tour Children's ActivitiesA community event on a public road is a joint effort and relies on the involvement of the Council and local residents. 

We encourage you to contact the Council to seek guidance on this process.

The Guidelines provide information on planning and managing major community events, including:

  • initial planning
  • permits, licences and approvals
